Reviews about Zivarri Jewels
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★November 12, 2019, by Yasmine SarrafI love this little shop! It offers a beautifully appointed gallery and intake space, with a well equipped workshop in back. The owner, Kelly, is a charming highly skilled craftswoman, with extensive education on the subject matter of metals and gems, having taken many intensives with skilled masters. She has even traveled overseas to learn some of these esoteric arts, which makes for interesting conversation among fellow artists like myself. She preforms solid custom and repair work, offering quick turn around time, and unique aesthetically appealing merchandise. Definitely recommended should you be in the market for gifts for loved ones, hand made heirlooms, or requiring repair there of.
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆July 16, 2019, by Amanda FernandezSupporting local is of upmost importance to me, so i was very excited to find out there was a quaint little jewelry store around the corner from my house. The first time I stopped in it was a pleasant experience, I just browsed around and looked at the (beautiful!) jewelry and left. For my birthday in April I received a white gold/diamond necklace and had been wearing it for six months straight. When I broke the dainty chain I immediately thought to take it to the local jeweler. Kelly, the owner of Zavarri told me it would be at least a week so I was surprised when she called me back within a couple hours. I knew right away when I put the necklace on something wasn’t right. It was noticeably longer (enough to get stuck in my bosom), a thicker chain, and it pulled my hair out at the nape of my neck, which it never had before. I called Kelly and asked if maybe she had given me another chain by accident. We are humans right? Mistakes happen. She immediately became defensive and said, “I wouldn’t do that, I could fix it for ten bucks and good luck finding out what happened to your chain.” I briefly questioned myself so I did some research. I found the original sales receipt and compared it to photographs from my birthday and the six months following and confirmed this was not my chain. Kelly gave me a different chain back. I brought an 18 inch chain and she gave me a 21 inch chain. I went to another jeweler for a second opinion to see if the chain I now have is even white gold and shortly after I received a threatening phone call and text message. She even went as far to say, “as a courtesy to other jewelers she was going to tell every jewelry store in town about me.” Which is baffling to say the least. I had come back to her in good faith thinking It was a simple mix up, only to be met with immediate back lash and her being incredibly rude. My boyfriend who bought me the necklace also attempted to speak with her and he could hardly get a word as she insisted it was our fault. This has been one of the WORST customer experiences I’ve EVER had. Her response was beyond rude and bordered on harassment. The worst part is I still don’t have my necklace back. Please, if you value your pieces do not take it to this store.
